Rules:
1) You must be a registered member of the
ACC Community Message Boards in order to post messages. You must also be a registered member in order
to read any of the boards in the “discussion” section. Anyone (registered or unregistered) may read
the boards in the “information” section.
2) Profane, derogatory, abusive, and
otherwise inappropriate language and/or content will not be tolerated.
3) Advertising and solicitations are not
allowed. It is permissible, however, to
offer recommendations or advice for products and services to other members, so
long as you do not benefit financially from the purchase of these products or
services.
4) All fundraising efforts posted on the
boards must be pre-approved by the moderator. Do not post information about
fundraisers without contacting the moderator first.
5) Individuals are only allowed one user
name. Individuals may not create
multiple user names (“aliases”).
6) Do not post the content of private
messages on any of the forums without the permission of the user who sent you
the message. You may, however, forward
any suspicious or inflammatory private messages to the moderator or
administrator.
7) This community is for support and
information; it is not intended to substitute for professional advice.
8) If you notice a member breaking forum
rules, please report the violation to the moderator.
9) Failure to follow these rules may
result in disciplinary actions including, but not limited to, the deletion of
offending posts, warnings to members breaking rules, and the removal of a
member from the community.
Guidelines:
1) Please be careful about providing
personal information (real name, children’s full names address, phone number,
etc.) on this site. Remember that
anyone can read information that you post in the “information” area, and all
registered members can read information in the “discussion” area.
2) Be considerate and agree to
disagree. Treat other posters with
respect. The purpose of this community
is to provide support and information; please keep this goal in mind when
posting. Avoid name-calling, derogatory
language, and personal attacks.
3) Please post messages in the appropriate
forum. Each forum has a different
purpose; read the descriptions for each forum before you decide which forum to
post your message in it.
4) Please title your threads with specific
subject lines describing their content.
This helps other users quickly determine what your thread is about, and
will help you gain more appropriate replies.
For example, instead of titling a thread “Question,” use a more
descriptive title like “Questions about upcoming IEP Meeting.”
5) When you join the board, please
consider posting a message on the “Introduce Yourself” board to tell community
members about yourself and your connection to ACC.
6) Please direct any questions or comments
about the boards to Amy Tully (astully –at- wisc.edu).
